Billionaire to recreate Titanic

It is considered as one of the worst nights ever.  On 15th April 1912, a majestic ship Titanic collided with an iceberg killing all the 1502 people on board.  Now, nearly ninety years after the tragedy, an Australian billionaire wants to rewrite the history.

Australian billionaire Clive Palmer is planning on building an identical ship to the Titanic. It will be wider to meet the current regulations, an extra bridge to improve the visibility and more lifeboats. The tragedy couldn’t be averted in 1912 as the iceberg wasn’t detected on time. The earlier Titanic wasn’t wide and stable, either. Yes, the new Titanic or the Titanic II as it is called will have all these features and will be technologically updated too.

Titanic II is tentatively set to sail in 2016. Fortunately, the survivors won’t be there to relive that hellish experience again. Frankly, however, do we really need to tempt fates and hope that another déjà vu doesn’t happen? Billionaire or not, some things are better left alone and Titanic is definitely one such blast from the past that does not need resurrection.
