March 3rd, Monday morning will dawn earlier than usual for us movies buff in this part of the world. Its Oscar time! It is scheduled for a live telecast, starting sharp at 5.30 am. (2nd March 7 pm ET)

There are various interesting stories which do their rounds around this time but the most hilarious one is about how some stars store their coveted awards. The 13-and-a-half-inch (34-cm) golden Oscar statuette represents the highest honour in film awards and for the winning stars it is probably the most prized possession and hence innovative ways of safe keeping. Emma Thompson, a two-time winner for "Howards End" and "Sense and Sensibility," has stowed her Oscars in the bathroom of her London home. Cate Blanchett who won the Oscar for ‘Aviator’ has to pay to see her award – it  is in a film museum called ACMI (Australian Centre for the Moving Image) in Melbourne. Then there are some who store it pretty normally - Charlize Theron keeps her "Monster" Oscar in the living room; George Clooney's two awards for "Argo" and "Michael Clayton" are in his office.

Another interesting tidbit – till date 2,809 Oscars have been awarded.
