Nalco is top gainer

National Aluminum is currently the top gainer on the BSE, up 6% at Rs.57.80 the moment it opened for trading, an intra day high. Its 52-week high is at Rs.63.50.

The stock is reacting positively to the Q1FY15 numbers, posting a net profit of Rs.271 crore, up 69% (YoY) and this was purely on the merit of its operational performance. The market is especially enthused with the surge in its EBITDA margin which rose from 15.2% to 16.5%. A 2% decline in operating expenses also helped, which was mainly on account of lower raw material, depreciation and power costs.
