Opening higher by Rs.2, Pricol surged at one time almost 11% higher at Rs.47.45 and presently, it has come off that high but ruling strongly in the green, up over 7% at Rs.45.75. Its 52-week high is at Rs.69.20.

The stock is up after the company announced that it has plans to acquire 99.99% stake in a Brazilain based auto component manufacturing company through its wholly owned subsidiary in Spain. Pricol has stated that the aforesaid company in Brazil achieved sales revenue of Rs.301 crore during the calendar year 2013. This acquisition will enable Pricol to make a foray into the Brazilian auto component sector. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of Januray’15.
