Today, global brands are incorporating Indian values to boost luxury consumption. Luxury brands are no longer restricted to big cities but have found new patrons from small towns, as well.

In fact, in recent years, there is an evident change since non-metro regions of India today account for 45% growth for the luxury segment players.  As per a recent report, 55% of the total revenue is generated from cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata.  The other locations, which contribute to rising sales figures, include Bangalore, Ahmedabad, Pune, Nagpur, Hyderabad and Ludhiana.  These cities account for 16% of sales which 7% of revenue is accounted by cities such as Surat, Jaipur, Lucknow, Indore and Kanpur amongst others. Due to the rising sales and demand for luxury brands from Indian cities, renowned brands are introducing local, Indian elements to their products- Hermes Sari, Moet’s Indian wine and Canali Bandhgala. They are also tweaking their offerings to suit Indian festivities and occasions.

With this rising growth of luxury consumptions, it is only a matter of time that we will soon see SOHO and Fifth Avenue markets rising across the country.
