Astrazeneca Pharma jumps 17%

Astrazeneca Pharma rose almost 17% to hit a new high at Rs.1278. It had hit a high yesterday too at Rs.1111. Its lifetime high stands at Rs.4798, hit in May 206.
Its total revenue for Q2FY18 rose 18% (YoY) at Rs.167 crore but its net profit jumped by a jaw dropping 34 times to Rs.27 crore v/s Rs.80 lakh in previous Q2. Sequentially, the profit is up 4.5 times.
What really helped was the 6% drop in total expenses – it was 79% of total revenue in current Q2 compared to 99% in previous Q2.
It’s a debt free company with a small equity of Rs.5 crore (Rs.2 FV). Annualised EPS stands at Rs.26.50.
