CCD coffee goes cold

Coffee Day Enterprises or CCD as it is more popularly recognized, got listed today. As against an issue price of Rs.328 it got listed on the BSE much below at Rs.313 and went down to Rs.280.70. It is now quoted at Rs.285.
Like the tale of all IPOs, which do very well in IPO but fizzle out on listing, here too the same thing has happened. The IPO was subscribed 1.8 times with institutional investors subscribing 4.38 times, non-institutional or HNIs at 53% and surprisingly Retail Investors at 90%.
