TCI hits a new high

Transport Corporation of India (TCI) hit a new 52-week high today at Rs.330. Its life time high stands at Rs.475.55, hit on 4th Dec’06.
Along with TCI, other logistic companies – Gati, Allcargo, Gateway Distriparks, Snowman, Patel Integrated, Sical; all these companies are strongly in the green.
Expectation is that the much awaited GST Bill could get finally passed in the Parliament, with the changes as asked by the Congress – capping the maximum GST at 18%, do away with the 1% inter-state manufacturing tax and set up a dispute resolution mechanism. The NDA is said to be aggregable on the 1% inter-state tax and dispute resolution mechanism though the 18% cap could be a bone of contention.
