So you are a movie buff who fell ill? Fret not. You will soon be able to catch the latest movies even while in a hospital, all thanks to the latest venture by the non-commercial Hospital, Fortis Memorial Research Institute.

The Hospital at Gurgaon has started screening movies in a 36 seat cinema hall that will air three to four movies every day. The chain of hospital already offers a world class healing experience, having a mini spa, a premium ice cream outlet, a bookstore and an Australian juice bar. Now, with the Cinema hall, the chain of hospitals will soon start resembling a mall!

Instead of making the hospital bill lengthier and costlier, these ‘boutique’ hospitals should focus on offering the best possible treatment at a clean, sterile, international and well, affordable environment; as no one really plans a trip to the hospital. India’s major population is middle class and health care services should cater to them and not to garner the attention of high profile and elite clients.
