A stock market or share market of a country is a place where many buyers and sellers meet to decide a price on a particular stock listed on the exchange.

A high degree of importance is given to stock market conditions of a country as it is associated with the mood of the economy. If the share market is rising, the country is considered to be on an uphill in terms of economic strength and business confidence.
