What does NIFTY 100 index comprise of?

Nifty 100 comprise of top 101 companies that diversified into 38 sectors of the Indian economy. It is combination of Nifty 50 and Nifty Next 50. So, it means top 101 companies out of listed stocks on NSE giving consistent earnings and has high PE ratio. Nifty 100 is top 101 companies based on full market capitalization from Nifty 500.

Nifty 100 represents about 77% of the free float market capitalization out of all stocks listed on NSE as on 31st March, 2016. Nifty 100 Index tracks the movement of Nifty 50 and Nifty Next 50. Companies included in Nifty 100 index only when it forms part of Nifty 500 index.
