Umang Dairies, engaged in the business of dairy products, a part of JK Organisation, for Q4FY15 posted a damp squib set of numbers. It was uncanny as to how net profit for the quarter came in at Rs.3.57 crore, exactly what it had posted in Q4FY14 too. This was despite a 23% (YoY) drop in net sales at Rs.67 crore. It managed to bring down raw material costs by 28% and this resulted in overall costs coming down 23%. Consequently, EBITDA came in at Rs.7 crore, up 17% and margins were at 9.46% v/s 6.37%.

It ended FY15 with a net profit of Rs.8 crore, up 33%. At end of FY15, promoters stake stood at 74.73% and there is no FII holding. Market cap is at Rs.140 crore.
