ACME Solar shines

About the 3.1 GWh Battery Storage Order: India-based ACME Solar has placed an order for 3.1 GWh of battery energy storage systems to support its renewable energy projects across various states, marking one of the largest such procurements in the country to date.

Delivery Timeline: The systems will be supplied by Zhejiang Narada and Trina Storage, with phased deliveries expected over the next 4 to 8 months. Full project commissioning is planned within 12 to 18 months.

Integration: The battery units will be integrated into ACME’s Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) initiatives, aiming to improve consistency and availability of power supply. The procurement aligns with budgeted costs and complies with international safety and performance standards, including IEC and UL certifications.

Portfolio and Impact on Grid Reliability: ACME currently manages a portfolio of 6,970 MW, with 2,890 MW operational and 4,080 MW under development. The addition of battery storage is expected to enhance grid support and accommodate variable renewable energy output.

The stock price is up by 7.51% and is currently trading at Rs 282.70
