Ashok Leyland is on good roads today morning. The stock surged 5% to hit an intraday high at Rs.115.10 and it continues to trade around the same levels currently. Its 10% UC of the day is at Rs.120.75.

The stock price has reacted positively to its announcement today it has launched India’s first 4-axle 8x2 DTLA  14-wheeler truck, which has a capacity of 40.5 tonne Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

This new truck offers an additional 5 ton payload compared to standard 8x2 trucks with better TCO.

The company is confident that this innovative product is positioned to change the rule of the game in long haul transport segment.
