Heritage Foods has been hitting new highs consistently. Even today, it hit a new high at Rs.888 with some 2 times surge in volume.

The stock is up today on unconfirmed news that the Future group is in advanced talks to buy the retail arm of Heritage Foods, known as Heritage Fresh, a company founded by the Chief Minister of Andhra, Chandrababu Naidu.

The details are not yet known – whether Heritage Fresh will be merged into the Future group or whether there will be a share swap ratio with cash components.

The companies have not responded to the clarification on this news sought by the stock exchanges.
