There are all kinds of websites for all kinds of things. Be it any facet of life, there is sure to be a website. There is one more website which was recently launched and it deserves a mention because it is so unique.

Known as bijlibachao.com, it is guide to your electricity bill – it not only analyses the bill but also calculates how a consumer can save money by choosing the right colour for a room and correctly placing appliances. It is all about electricity and gives interesting tips on how to save electricity when it comes to fans, fridges, ACs, for TVs, laptops, lights, water heaters, insulation. The site features 100 online blogs and five online software tools to help consumers. 

This site has been started by an IITian and he left his well-paying job to start this initiative. The site was launched in Feb’12 and the idea is so unique that it has already been shortlisted for this year’s Manthan Awards. Kudos to more such entrepreneurs who are using their intelligence and knowledge for the betterment of the people of India!
