Only Vimal!

Remember the brand name ‘Vimal’? It was probably one of the first brands in India which felt and looked like silk and was affordable for the masses. And being a Reliance brand, it was advertised and like Dhirubhai made equity market a rage, Vimal became a household name.

Though the brand had gone off the circuit for a few years due to falling demand and increased competition, Mukesh Ambani revived the brand and though it cannot recreate the magic of those years, it is sometimes reassuring to know that this brand is still around.

And keeping the brand alive, the company recently launched a "smart" fabric, called Protector: 4-in-1 Hygiene Uniform Fabrics. Designed mainly for the tropical climate, the ‘4-in-1’ stands for the fabric which is anti-dust, stain-release, anti-microbial and has anti-pollen properties. It does not allow dust to stick to the surface, good for 20 home washes. And the best part of this fabric is that it stops production of bad odour, effective for 100 home washes. It also reduces chances of pollen related allergies and hay fever. Where will it be used? Hospitals, armed forces, school uniforms, corporate and occasion wear.
