Amara Raja Batteries is currently the top gainer on the BSE, surging over 11.5% to hit an intraday high at Rs.579.75 while its 15% UC of the day is pegged at Rs.587.75. Volumes have jumped up by a huge 24x.
This sudden bout of interest on the counter is on account of its earnings for Q2FY23 wherein its consolidated revenue from operations rose 19% (YoY) to Rs.2700 crore.
EBITDA came in at Rs.360 crore, up 33% while margins rose from 11.9% to 13.3%.
The company’s net profit rose 39% to Rs.201 crore.
The company has also declared an interim dividend of Rs 2.90/share with record date on November 16, 2022.
