Cement pack in the red

The entire cement pack is in the red today morning, led by Jaiprakash Associates which is down almost 2% at Rs.61.40 and this is after having hit a new 52-week low at Rs.60.60.
The cement stocks are do Supreme Court (SC) directed cement companies to deposit 10% of the penalty amount imposed by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) on cartelization charges last year. 11 companies will be paying up this penalty.
Under this Jaiprakash will end up depositing the maximum at around Rs.130 crore, followed by Ambuja at around Rs.117 core and ACC at Rs.115 crore.
