GM Breweries in good spirits

GM Breweries rose almost 7% today to Rs.1200, reacting to the news of its robust earnings for Q4FY18, declaring a bonus too.
For Q4FY18, the company posted a 11% (YoY) rise in revenue at Rs.112 crore. Net profit rose by a whopping 150% to Rs.25 crore.
Operating profit for the quarter was at Rs.33 crore, up from Rs.16.5 crore in previous Q4 while margins showed a fantastic jump from Rs.16.5 crore to Rs.33 crore.
The lower base effect is bound to be there as previous Q4, Q4FY17 there was the effect of demonetization.
The company sweetened the numbers by declaring a 1:4 bonus.
