L&T hits all-time high

The BSE Capital Goods Index is booming, rising to an all-time high of 21797.97, a surge of over 6%.
L&T, as expected leads the pack, going on to hit a new high today at Rs.1593; of the 23 stocks covered in this index, 18 are up in the green and only five – Adani Green, Schaeffler, Carborundum Universal, Timken and GMR Infra are down.
The Budget has not only given a major infra build booster but all the others – Railway, highways, ports, airports, every other booster will ultimately have a multiplier effect on the capital goods sector.
This high capex rollout is a major growth impetus for all the industries sector.
