Sugar pack gets sweeter

As expected, the entire sugar pack is up today morning following the news of partial decontrol by abolishing the monthly release mechanism and doing away with the mills' obligation to supply levy sugar for subsidised wherein the Govt will bear the subsidy for the PDS sugar. The ex-mill sugar price has been capped at Rs.32/kg for the PDS.

Oudh Sugar, though smaller than the rest leads the pack with a gain of over 14%. Dhampur Sugar, Balrampur Chini, Shree Renuka, Dwarikesh Sugar, Empee Sugar, Triveni Eng, DCM Shriram, EID Parry, Upper Ganges are all up strongly in the green.
