It is NOT a Federal Reserve meet but the big hullaballoo is about "some indirect reference" to the timing of a rate hike.

Tomorrow is a big day in the sense that that morning will have the Q1FY13 GDP numbers coming in and some time later in the night, we will know whether or not the US Fed will go ahead with a QE3. It's a complete non-event. With Q1FY13 GDP coming at 5.5% the market simply shrugged it off and moved on, shifting its focus to Jackson Hole. This 5.5% number puts things right where they were, not giving RBI much to work on.

For most part of the Budget, it sounded almost like a Congress Budget, except that the speech was longer, Mr.Arun Jaitley took a five minute break and there were so many micro issues in the Budget that one minister was actually caught on TV with a huge yawn! It would be really unfair for us to expect this 6 week old Govt to announce huge Big Bang measures in this Budget.
