It is a green, green world and Bihar Chief Minister is setting an example by opting for green. Solar energy will now lights up Nitish Kumar’s official residence and office. And if you think going green comes cheap, think again for the cabinet has approved Rs.4.5 crore for installing solar panels and other green equipments.

Since a while, Nitish Kumar has been expressing his desire to convert from thermal energy to cost effective, healthier and natural solar energy.  Now his desire is finally turning to a reality and has the capacity to generate around 2000 MW of power in the state. The Bihar Renewable Energy Development Agency has been assigned to do this project. Maybe, Maharashtra is also following suit. It is time we learn from these so called ‘backward’ states who can teach a lesson or two to the metros!
