Winter comes with a surge of tourists; especially NRI’s visiting their homeland for a few weeks during the festive months of the nation.   This year’s winter, however, will be different with close to 10,000 Indians living in US, UK, Europe and Southeast postponing their Diwali and New Year vacations for early next year.

These NRI’s will be visiting India with a new agenda next year - volunteering for Narendra Modi’s election campaign. They will campaign for the PM candidate in their native towns and villages while some will work with Modi’s team. With expats and rich NRI’s on BJP’s Modi’s side; the 2014 election is definitely going to be a tad different than the other ones.

NRI’s, locals, drama, tamasha and the cock and bull competition to win the PM election; it’s getting hotter by the day – where is winter?
