Tata Consumer, which owns brands like Tata Tea, Tetley, Vitax, Eight O'Clock Coffee, Himalayan Natural Mineral Water, Tata Coffee Grand and Joekels, is in the limelight.
There is news that the company is currently on an acquisition spree in the consumer goods sector and is in discussions to buy up to five brands.
It had recently acquired bottled-water business NourishCo Beverages as well as cereal brand Soulfull. The company expects future growth to come from inorganic expansions.

The stock opened almost 1% higher today at Rs.739.70 and went up to an intraday high at Rs.758, up around 3.5%. Its 52-week high is at Rs.889.
