Vedanta brings cheer

Vedanta went up today by almost 3.5% to an intraday high at Rs.307.85 and it is currently trading at Rs.306.35. Its 10% UC for the day is at Rs.327.70.
The company as expected declared a generous interim dividend of Rs.18.50/share. This is the first interim dividend for FY22.
Record date has been fixed for 9th Sept’21, means it goes ex-dividend on 8th. And 31st Oct is the deadline to pass on dividend received from its subsidiary Hindustan Zinc in FY21 to avoid tax implications.
