Videocon Inds up in the green

Videocon Industries is amongst the top gainers on the BSE, it is currently up almost 2.5% at Rs.218, with an intra day high at Rs.220.65. Volumes are pretty robust at around 56,000 shares being traded today morning.
The stock is up and about today on news that it is planning to apply for a banking license. There is unconfirmed news that the company is planning to being in a foreign bank for its banking foray wherein Videocon will divest part stake to its foreign banking partner though majority stake will be held by Videocon. A separate subsidiary is being launched for this banking foray of the company.
