Bharti Airtel rings African tune

Bharti Airtel is amongst the top gainers on the BSE currently, up over 2% at Rs.384 levels, with volumes spiking up over 3 times.
The stock is buzzing today on unconfirmed news that the company is in the final stages of selling some more its telecom towers in various parts of Africa with American Tower Corporation and Eaton Towers. The deal is expected to fetch the company around Rs.9000 to 12,000 crore, which will go a long way in reducing its debt of over Rs.57,000 crore, thereby improving profit margins.
