This time around, surprisingly, it is not Infosys but CMC which will bring in the numbers on 14th though small cap companies like Chemfab Alkalis and Goa Carbon, as usual, take the lead, being always amongst the first. Actually GM Breweries was the first to have declared its Q4 numbers. Infosys will remain the first large cap company to declare its numbers on 15th while IndusInd Bank will also follow the tradition of being the first bank to present its earnings.

The YoY improvement shows that the lower base effect will help show a better performance going ahead and it also means that things are indeed improving on the global macro economic front, especially in USA. But QoQ fall is irksome as seasonally, Q3 is the weakest and yet, Q4 did not emerge

If one were to look at the top 5 dividend paying companies in Fy13, like always Colgate-Palmolive tops the list and it paid three interim dividends - Rs.13, Rs.6 and then Rs.9 - total dividend paid was Rs.28 per Re.1 share held. And now for FY14, it has once again declared three interims - each of Rs.9 per share; total Rs.27/share.
